Tour Day 10Are we in Napa, California? We made it to the Tuscan countryside ready to relax. After settling into our villas at the Villa Il Crocicchio, it was time to do some laundry, get ready for the cooking demonstration, and of course, eat!

Tuscany is a beautiful region in central Italy. We were already feeling relaxed as we neared our destination.

Tuscan DinnerWe had a grand time watching our dinner cook! The smells, sounds, and sites were making our mouths water. Good thing we had a sample taste; Philippe was happy about that.
After the demo, it was time to grab a drink from the bar and find a seat at the dinner table. Course after course we stuffed ourselves with real Tuscan food- YUM. |
Everything in Italy tastes good
Tour Day 11
We woke up on a serene, crisp morning for an early departure to Florence. Tom was stoked because the Cycling World Championships were going on in the city. A splendid tour of Florence from a fantastic local guide ended with time in the Uffizi Gallery.

Go, go, go!!!

Cycling World ChampionshipsHurry up and cross before they close the roads near the Duomo! Time to eat some authentic food at Trattoria Zà-Zà and visit the San Lorenzo Market. Rick was right about all of the Persian people that have leather goods for sale. This is where my Farsi speaking skills came in handy! We made it back in time to watch some of the cycling championships.
